Abstract

This paper is the first in a series for a UK/Polish project which challenges current theory with regard to moral panics. It will do this by investigating the recent UK Polish migration, society’s reaction to this migration and the role of trade unions, employers and newly formed Polish community associations. The paper explores the trade union reaction to the new Polish migration.
