Abstract

The papers in this special section examine emerging multiport electrical machines and systems. Presented are recent advances and challenges in the field of emerging electrical machines and systems with multiple electrical and/or mechanical ports, ranging from new machine/converter/system topologies to design and optimization methods, advanced control strategies, performance evaluation, and explorations for up-and-coming applications.
