Abstract

This was a keynote introduction to a workshop that considered the impact on UK construction of Polish migrant workers. It was intended as a discussion piece which others were then able to deliver more nuanced approaches and detailed accounts of Polish workers in UK construction.

Item Type: Conference or Workshop Item (Keynote)
Additional Information: The seminar has been organised as part of a regular series of ProBE events to raise important issues for discussion and to show films which have particular significance for the production of the built environment. ProBE is a joint research centre between the Westminster Business School (WBS) and the School of Architecture and the Built Environment (SABE), committed to the development of a rich programme of research and related activities, including projects, oral history, film, exhibitions, and seminars and providing a forum for debate and a focus for interdisciplinary and international activity related to the production of the built environment.
