Additional Information: These two volumes of The European Spectator comprise edited and refereed papers from the conference of the same name, held at Northumbria in June 2001, in collaboration with the Universities of Montpellier and Halle-Wittenberg. Papers reflect the pan-European spread of contributors’ interests and are interdisciplinary in approach. Keynote speakers included in the volumes are Hermann Real (Munster) and Jonathan Clark (Kansas). Both introductions (volume 5 pp 11-17, volume 6 pp 11-18) are by Ingram, and are also included in the French translation. Ingram was responsible for editing the English papers and the organisation of both volumes.
