Abstract

The prosed poster intends to share the authors’ intentions and work to date concerning a research project intended to enhance student midwives’ opportunities and experiences of postnatal assessment skills within the midwifery preregistration curricula. The project will inform the planned curricula and development of the midwifery programmes in order to enhance student engagement, experience and ultimately employability. The initiative involves an inclusive and research informed approach to the midwifery curriculum, in which the students learning needs and experiences will form the basis of curriculum development.
