Abstract

This study examined the use of an innovative tool designed to assess distress in adults with severe communication difficulties. The tool has influenced practice nationally and internationally and is cited within the good practice guidelines of MENCAP’s UK campaign “Death by Indifference”. The clinical team form an NHS Beacon site.
