Abstract

The article presents detailed discourse analysis of British newspaper coverage of two highly controversial films, Antichrist (2009) and The Human Centipede II (2011), which reveals the workings of censorship discourses. Factors such as taste and politics are discussed through close analysis of critics' responses to these films.
