Abstract

This is a short report written by researchers at Northumbria University who attended the Care Farming in Northumberland Conference at Kirkley Hall on 1st June 2012. The researchers carried out a Rapid Appraisal survey with conference attendees, asking them a series of open-ended questions about their views and experiences of care farming. Seventeen people took part in the survey, including: care farmers, care farming staff and volunteers; those working with children, young people and adults with learning disabilities; health commissioners; and social care staff and students. A summary of the results is presented, and the full findings can be found in the appendices.
