Abstract

2010 Northumbria University BA (Hons) Architecture degree show exhibition.

This year, degree projects present the legacy of the Romans at Housesteads; explore aspects of the 2000 years of continuous occupation, conflict and reconciliation around Otterburn; or interpret the history and effects of the industrial revolution at Langley and Blanchlands.
Themes addressed by the Professional Diploma include working-class culture in the city and the seaside; creativity, engineering and enterprise in Redcar in the wake of the closure of the blast furnace by Corus; and research and development of green technologies and eco-tourism in Newburn.
