Abstract
This article considers the passage of the National Green Tribunal Act 2010 in India and the proposal to constitute a National Green Tribunal as a specialist body to hear environmental cases. The article considers the debate surrounding the introduction of a specialist environmental tribunal and explores questions of its composition, jurisdiction and procedures.
