Abstract
A high-speed optical fibre data link is described that uses naturally sampled pulse width modulation (PWM) to achieve a low bandwidth overhead. The link is suitable for low-distortion transmission of full specification video and audio signals or any analogue signal with a bandwidth of up to 6.5 MHz over one kilometre of fibre.
