| Additional Information: | Overview: Bearing in mind the potential role to be played by the heritage in sustainable development of the European continent, the various representatives of the beneficiaries of the Council of Europes Regional program for South East Europe (RPSEE) have presented the situation and progress made in this sphere. Particular reference was made to four issues: The legal and policy framework- reference to sustainable development and the role of the heritage and the public in this context; Organisational structures- the existence and organisation of public-private partnerships and the creation of co-ordination bodies; Methods of funding- sources of public and private funding; Implementation and monitoring tools- implementation of the various components of action programmes/plans including monitoring and evaluation. |
