Additional Information: | This volume of Studies in the Literary Imagination was commissioned to inaugurate the agreement to collaborate in research projects between Northumbria English staff and the English Department at Georgia State University. Members of each department contributed to the volume, as well as invited guest contributors, and papers were refereed according to the normal SLI process. ‘Crossing Borders: Cultural Diffusion and Exchange’ was chosen as the title in order to reflect the intentions behind the collaboration, and to provide a sufficiently broad field for the interests of potential contributors. The ‘Introduction: Crossing Borders’ (pp i-xii) develops the implications of this idea. Ingram was responsible for editing the volume and writing the introduction. |
