Abstract

This report contains the findings from a qualitative study conducted across four of the North East prisons, collaboratively funded by NHS England; Health and Justice North East and Northumbria University. This study is part of a wider research project and this report has been written for the attention of those involved with the commissioning, development and implementation of the health-related peer role in the North East region. The findings may also be transferable to similar settings and populations.
