This chapter provides an overview of the entire book. Based on the cross-functional research significance and research gap in business innovation management that is discussed in Chapter 1, and the contemporary cross-functional research insights on business innovation management derived from the arguments of Chapter 2 to Chapter 11 of this book, this chapter offers and justifies an integrated cross-functional model (Figure 12.1) of strategic innovation management in business. Centred on ten cross-functional perspectives, twelve cross-functional driving factors and ten cross-functional mediating factors of strategic innovation management, which are learnt from the insights of Chapter 2 to chapter 11, Table 12.1 and Figure 12.1 of this chapter summarise the overall arguments of the book, in relation to the core theme of this book: “strategic cross-functional innovation management in business”. This chapter discusses the research limitations and future research areas as well.
