Abstract
Reviews the growing use of electronic signatures, and when they may be used in contracts for the sale of land (CFSL). Examines what constitutes an electronic signature, key features of advanced and qualified electronic signatures, and the requirements for CFSL under the Law of Property (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1989 s.2. Discusses relevant case law, and the status of automatically generated email footers.
