Abstract

Refugees, asylum seekers, and immigrants (henceforth RASIM) as the outsiders entering the UK have attracted increased attention in the press in Britain within the past few decades. To date, ample research on the representation of migration/migrants in media within critical discourse analysis (CDA) has been carried out on various socio-political (national and international) contexts such as Reisigl and Wodak (2001), Krzy anowski and Wodak (2009), and Wodak (2008) on the Austrian context and van Dijk (1987, 1991) on British context (see KhosraviNik 2010a for a general overview of these studies).
