Funded by Science Foundation Ireland in collaboration with Trinity College Dublin, ML Research (Biotech) and Kinexus Bioinformatics Corp., Canada. The study showed that killing tumour cells by “suicide gene therapy” induces stress proteins that increase anti-tumour immune responses and reduce or inhibit tumour growth in-vivo.
