Abstract

The FDTL Phase 4 project, Making Practice Based Learning Work, aimed to make practitioners more effective at supporting & supervising students in the workplace across a range of healthcare disciplines. So far the project has: • Identified and documented good practice on preparing health care practitioners for their educational role. • Developed learning materials for practitioners, including materials developed for enhancement of inter-professional in practice settings. • Disseminated these materials across health and social care communities. • Evaluated usefulness of these materials for enhancing the role of practice educators. The workshop will include an overview of the project’s outcomes, including a demonstration of materials developed for inter-professional learning in practice settings, before focussing on a participatory exploration of: • Discussing the resources might be used in learning activity within inter-professional practice-based contexts. • Analysing ways to develop the resources to enhance learning activity within inter-professional practice-based settings. Identify the most effective ways to disseminate the resources to those involved in learning activity within inter-professional practice-based contexts.
