In response to the murals painted by William Bell Scott in the National Trust property Wallington House in Northumberland, McIntyre's research speculated on how to use mural scale drawing to revisit some of the locations featured in the original Northumbrian landscape. 3 large ink on Fabriano paper line drawings were developed that examine ideas around 'Lines of Desire'. These interrogated and eulogised the geology and physical contours of key locations including Steel Rig on Hadrian's Wall and Lindisfarne Castle on the coast.
The works were then site specifically installed in one of the public meeting rooms at Wallington to create 'The Withdrawing Room' inviting a new and novel interpretation for audiences on the concept of a space in a stately house where visitors are entertained and informed.
The 'Unfinished Business' group exhibition at Wallington House during the summer of 2011 was curated by Dorsett and featured other Northumbria academic staff and graduates.
