Abstract
This conference focused on different aspects of 21st century maker practices and critiqued the assumptions that an increasing access to tools and digital making technologies through Fablabs and Makerspaces provides all that is required for a craft and making renaissance. The themes used to frame the debates were: Materiality and aesthetics, Enhancing the object and Democratizing technology.
