Abstract

It would seem that children are becoming more literate, or at the very least, they are beginning to develop different literacies to keep up with the fast pace of the technological revolution. As adults, most of us would acknowledge that we are less literate in technology than our younger counterparts. However, I would argue that while children demonstrate amazing literacy skills both in the traditional sense as well as in the sense of information technology (IT) and its applications, visual literacy as a tool for interpretation is still at a basic level and in need of nurturing.
