Abstract
Discusses the implications of the National Security and Investment Act 2021 for conveyancing transactions. Lists sensitive areas of the economy likely to pose a national security risk. Notes that acquisition of control over an entity which owns land may trigger mandatory notification requirements, but purchases of land as an asset will not. Considers the scope of the Government's call-in power, the review procedure and sanctions for non-compliance.
