GIFT is an annual international theatre festival that originally ran as a pilot event in April/May 2011 and took place again between 3rd - 6th May 2012. GIFT brings together new theatre makers from around the world for an immersive festival experience that encourages and promotes cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary dialogue and exchange. As Festival Director, I founded and curate/programme the festival. My key research interest here is focused on festivals as sites for collaboration, and is a direct progression from my doctoral resaerch into collaboration in performance practice. GIFT seeks to provide a platform and a network for new theatre makers and supports and promotes artist and audience development.
