McDonnell, Sarah (2011) Style without Boundaries. [Show/Exhibition]
Full text not available from this repository.Abstract
A collaborative exhibition working with a Berlin based company Eye’Em and a number of university colleagues. This is an exhibition that is based around ‘Style without Boundaries’ using smartphone photography to depict and capture real style across the globe, irrespective of age, sex or culture. As a team, we aim to establish what diversity of culture is happening today e.g. 70 is the new 50, and 50 is the new 30… and that style on the street is no longer limited to the bright young things. We also aim to analyse the use of this new technology and ask ourselves ‘is this the death of the traditional camera?’
