Abstract
In January 2014 Joanne James set out to explore the question: What is going on when I am coaching a team? Over the course of a year she worked with two client teams, and kept a record of what happened in the formal coaching sessions and in between. The result was a rich store of data from field notes and observations, audio recordings, reflective feedback from the team members themselves along with e mail correspondence. In this session Joanne will talk her about her research method and share some of the findings from this exploration in to the theory and practice of working with teams.
